PrayerTech is a multiplatform integrated system for facilitating student development of Hebrew prayer comprehension and performance skills. Students can log on using a tablet (iOS or Android) or any PC or MAC computer to do work on their own. Through the successful completion of activities students earn game-time towards major (non-teaching) games that are part of this system.
How does PrayerTech work for my students?
The PrayerTech student app is a multifaceted tool. It will enrich classroom Hebrew experiences and serve as either homework or a resource for the flipped classroom. It can serve as a prime resource for tutoring or distance learning. PrayerTech can also be a powerful enrichment. This is a resource that you can use to your best purpose.
PrayerTech is organized by the prayer. Each prayer offers four to five activities that engage students with the language elements of the prayer. For each prayer students make a recording of their prayer performances and send the recordings to their teachers via e-mail.
What prayers will be available as part of PrayerTech?
PrayerTech will cover most major prayers that are part of Jewish services. Prayers noted with an asterisk will be available by September 2014 with more prayers available within the next few months.

Will PrayerTech work with my school's liturgy?
PrayerTech has been designed to meet the needs of any school teaching Jewish prayer. When you set up a school account you will have the option to choose the liturgy your students will encounter. You can choose from Traditional, Conservative, Reconstructionist or Reform liturgy, as well as an option to choose All for those schools serving multiple communities or for those who wish their students to compare versions of prayers.
How does PrayerTech work in my school?
Educators or School Administrators create an account for their school. With an account comes a free license that will allow access for educators and teachers to explore this material. Administrators will be able to register teachers, assign curriculum to each class, connect students to each teacher, and purchase licenses for their student body. They will have the tools to follow each student, each class, and the involvement of the whole school. One tutor and two students can be a class.
How do my teachers and parent get involved?
Teachers, tutors, and parents will have access to their students' files. They will be able to hear oral performances, be aware of time spent and percentage of success. They will also be able to compare their students and all others on the system. Teachers will have the ability to add some elements (like the Four Questions) to the curriculum and will have the ability to choose the materials that will be worked on.
How do I know my students are using PrayerTech?
Educators and administrators will be able to monitor your students' work and completion of exercises in real time. Regular reports will be available to help you identify problems or challenges your students are having.
What does PrayerTech cost?
Setting up Prayertech for your school is completely free, and there is no cost until you are ready to license your students for access PrayerTech app.
PrayerTech is licensed per student. There are two licenses available—$6.00 for five months of student use or $11.95 for ten months (includes the two summer months as a bonus at no extra charge).
